CYCLING AROUND TUCSON
The Tuxon bicycles are one of the best ways to explore Tucson and the natural beauty of our surrounding desert and mountains. Bicycle rentals are available for guests and cycling enthusiasts alike in our custom cycling gear shed. Storage is offered if you prefer to BYOB (bring your own bike). Guests can go for a ride along “The Loop,” a 131-mile bike-friendly trail around Tucson just two blocks from the hotel, or cruise over to the Mercado, just a mile up the river, for an afternoon of local, boutique shopping.
Best Places to Ride
There’s a reason Tucson ranks on many “best places to bike” lists. The city is full of great places to bike for both leisure and serious cyclists. The Loop, a network of shared-use paths in metro Tucson connects the communities of Marana, Oro Valley, and South Tucson featuring 131 miles of paved trails. Fourth Avenue / Fontana route takes riders to the Amphi neighborhood via a journey complete with public art, bike crossings and a great tour of Tucson houses. Catalina Highway is a workout for even work-class bicyclists, with a full 26-mile ride up to the top of Mt. Lemmon, gaining nearly 6,000 feet in elevation in the process. Saguaro National Park East is another beautiful 8-mile ride, with majestic saguaros surrounding the paved scenic route through the national park.
Modern Hospitality. Southwestern Authenticity.
