HOTELS IN TUCSON
CLASSIC MOTOR
LODGE. MODERN SOUL.
Unique among hotels in Tucson, The Tuxon isn't trying to be the fanciest hotel in Tucson—we're trying to be the most honest one. We believe great hospitality comes from authentic experiences, not expensive amenities. We think road trip culture deserves respect, not irony. And we know the best hotels are the ones locals choose too. So whether you're here for one night or planning to make Tucson your new obsession, we've got you covered. Check in, cool off, and discover what makes this desert city special. Ready to see what we're about? The pool's open, the slushies are cold, and Tucson's waiting.
A DESERT ORIGINAL
Built in 1969, The Tuxon stays true to its motor lodge roots—mid-century bones, cactus-lined walkways, and desert views that haven’t changed in decades. Inside, touches of brass, stone, and saddle leather nod to Tucson’s ranching and mining heritage. The palette draws straight from the land: burnt sienna, golden yellow, and the muted greens of desert flora.
When FORS Architecture reimagined the property, the goal was to honor what was already here. The result is a stay grounded in place: a modern basecamp shaped by Native, Mexican, and Southwestern influences, with a style that belongs entirely to Tucson.
You’ll find us in Barrio Kroeger Lane, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. It’s rough around the edges, rich in story, and unmistakably home to The Tuxon.
